KAGE SPORTS AND MIDWEST GOALIE SCHOOL TO TUTOR JOLIET JAGUAR GOALIES
Kage Sports and Midwest Goalie School have announced an agreement to work with the goalies for the Joliet Jaguars on a regular basis. Kage Sports is a sports training company founded by Kelly Gee that specializes in goalie on and off ice training. Gee, long-time assistant director to Chico Adrahtas at Midwest Goalie School, is recognized as one fo the top instructors in the midwest. He, along with instructor Rick Cazares will oversee the Joliet goalie program.
"We're delighted to be working with Joliet," said Adrahtas. "Mike Breslin is a terrific hockey figure, and we were very happy that he approached us
about working with the Jaguars."
Kelly Gee has spent the last 6 years instructing goalies in the Chicagoland area, serving as assistant director at Midwest Goalie School, and working with several organizations including the AAA Chicago Mission. A native of Kenai, Alaska, Kelly's Junior A playing career with the Danville Wings was cut short due to a series of serious leg injuries, but he immediately channeled his enthusiasm and knowledge of the position into teaching.
Rick Cazares recently concluded his collegiate playing career with Michigan Tech and Fredonia State. The San Jose, California native played locally here for Team Illinois before moving on to the Danville Wings where he earned a Div I scholarship to Michigan Tech University. He transferred to Fredonia State for his final two years of play, starring for the Blue Devils, and spent last season coaching their goalies. Rick has been an instructor at Midwest Goalie School for 6 years.

Fundraising:
On July 18th, we will have Football CharityMania tickets for people to
start selling. This is a great individual fundraiser to help keep the cost
of your hockey fees down. Each family can sell tickets for $20/each and
receive $10 back toward their hockey fees for each ticket sold. Debbie
will be at the rink on July 18 to sign out tickets.....no up front money
is needed.
Concessions:
Melissa Caruso
The transition has been smooth from Scott MacDowell to myself in regards
to the Concession Responsibilities. I appreciate everyone's patience and
help during this switch.
Here are a couple of reminders that will
help us earn the most for our fees:
The First Midwest Bank Amp....is offering
our club an extra incentive for the amount of workers we will have at
Ozzfest on Friday, August 10th. The first report time is 10:30 and they're
planning a second report time just before beer sales begins. It is a free
show and all tickets have been redeemed (sold out) (yes, free...more
tips??).
If you notice one or two people signed up
for a Jackhammer game, please consider signing up if you can. They want a
minimum of three people working at a booth.
Thanks again for all of the time you put
in, you will be thankful this fall when you see the credit applied to your
fee. Please don't hesitate to call me with any questions.
