Pre-Hockey Program
 Learn
to Skate
A prerequisite to Pre-Hockey, our Learn to Skate program is
being offered in-conjunction with the Joliet
Park District and provides the basic skating fundamentals
including:
FORWARD &
BACKWARD SKATING
QUICK STARTS & STOPS
FORWARD & BACKWARD CROSSOVER
TURNS & TRANSITIONS
Each skater is evaluated
individually to ensure their development, while preparing them
for a natural transition into team play.
Pre-Hockey
Our Pre-hockey sessions
expose the skater to the skills necessary for stickhandling,
passing, shooting, and reinforcement of skating techniques by
our experienced Jaguar staff. Our goal is to provide hockey
fundamentals for the advancement to Mega Mites which is the
introductory level to team concepts. Full hockey gear is
required for this program.

Equipment for Pre-Hockey: Helmet
with cage, hockey skates, shoulder pads, elbow pads,
shinguards, gloves, pants and stick. Neck and mouth
guard are recommended. |
